So it would have been easy to be confused and to think that I was attempting to buy the State of Texas as opposed to a small car. The amount of paperwork and reference checks etc was overwhelming. What you would think was going to be a one-hour trip; particularly given I had already chosen the car, turned into a 3-hour exercise of paperwork!! And even once the price was agreed upon and the paperwork completed….wait there’s more. Then I had to choose the service extras. It was like ordering a meal. Do you want fries with that? What kind of dressing – we have blue, ranch, mayo, balsamic, thousand island etc etc etc? What would you like on the side – carrots, beets, grits, onion rings, corn bread? It really was an overwhelming experience and not one I would like to repeat but yep; that was just part one of the purchase. We have gone from being religiously a ‘no car family’ to being a ‘two car family’. A 'his and hers', one for work and one for pleasure, two car family.
So one car purchase down and one to go. Save me!!!
