Journeys

The beginning

I had been hoping for a change in scenery for sometime so it was with much excitement that I welcomed the news that we were on the move.  Not just a short hop, skip and jump; but from the most isolated city in the world, Perth, to the State where everything is bigger - Houston, Texas!!

Moving home is supposedly ranked up there as one of the most stressful life events one can experience, coming third to death and divorce I think.  But in truth, I have always loved the whole experience of the unknown, the opportunity to declutter your life, meet new people, finding a place to take off your shoes and simply, just re-establishing yourself and routine.

The hardest part of moving though, and particularly moving to a new city, is fareweling all your wonderful friends.  For me, this move is tough primarily because I have loved my job and the people I have met and friends made while calling Western Australia home.

But now, with the door closed on our wonderful King Street warehouse, we are ready to step into that boarding lounge and take off.
